Phil Davison is a perfect example of the communication model. Phil Davison is running for Stark County Treasurer is given a speech to allow the people to know why he is a good fit for this position. He acts as the sender and uses an abundance of different ways to show power and get through to his audience. He raises his voice throughout the whole speech. The hand gestures and the way he moves around are great ways to keep the audience on their feet and not get bored with what he has to say. Even though there are some people laughing in the background you can tell that they are engaged in what he has to say and aren't falling a sleep or getting bored with the message he is trying to get across. Having that type of feedback from the receivers is better than no feedback at all. The receivers are not only the crowd that he is speaking in front but the county as a whole. The immediate audience (the crowd his is speaking directly to) receives the message because of the way Phil Davison conducted his speech.
I think the most significant element of his speech is channel or medium. He gets right up there and has a very aggressive tone in order to display a form of power and or showing the receivers that he means what he says and is taking it seriously. The shouting and engagement with the crowd by asking questions was a great way for Phil to portray his message and keep the audience attentive.
